2014 CRP Instructions for Landlords

Eligible renters (see eligibility requirements below) may receive a refund based on property taxes paid on their principal place of residence in Minnesota and their income.The landlord is required to give each renter a completed CRP, Certificate of Rent Paid, no later than January 31, 2015.Renters will need this CRP to apply for a property tax refund.You must file Form M1PR and include all CRPs to claim a refund.

Roommates: The landlord is required to give each unmarried renter living in a unit a separate CRP showing that each room­mate paid an equal portion of the rent, regardless of the portion actually paid or whose names are on the lease.

  Organizer to Help Compile Tax Documents 

The client organizer is a useful tool to help you gather all the necessary tax documents for your tax preparation. 

If we have done your taxes in the prior year, we can upload an organizer specific to your needs and requirments to your secure online access portal.  Please only use this organizer if you are new to our firm.    

  Supplement to Organizer for those with a Schedule C Business

This supplement to the organizer can be used by those with a business that is reported on their individual tax return. 

 Supplement to Organizer for those with a Schedule E Rental Property

This supplement to the organizer can be used by those with rental property reported on their individual tax return.

 

 Dependent Care Provider's Identification and Certification

The purpose of this form is to obtain the necessary information required from any person or organization that provides care for your child or other dependent if you plan to claim a credit for child or dependent care expenses on your taxes or if you receive benefits under your employer's dependent care plan.
